LIDAR VR
LIDAR VR is an interactive educational Virtual Reality experience I developed to teach users about the applications of Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology in forestry. Designed with accessibility and engagement in mind, the game transports users into a virtual forest where they can visualize LiDAR data in 3D and interact with real-world scenarios that showcase how this technology is used to monitor ecosystems, analyze forest density, and promote sustainable land management.
- Working closely with faculty from the
Biology and Environmental Science departments, I:
- Designed game mechanics and user interactions tailored for education.
- Programmed interactive elements using Unity and C#.
- Implemented VR functionality for Meta Quest and Quest 2 using OpenXR and Oculus SDK.
- Created intuitive UX, ensuring players of varying ages could navigate and understand the environment.
